About this Event
Students, staff, and industry partners are invited to join the School of Engineering’s first Young Researchers Conference. Final year undergraduates and postgraduate students are invited to present their research to an audience of peers, senior researchers, and industry partners.
The Young Researchers Conference is for School of Engineering final year undergraduates and postgraduate students to present an original research project. For undergraduate students, this might be a poster from the third year Individual Project module, or a presentation from a Group Design Project. For PhD students, there may be initial results from doctoral research to present.
This event aims to support young researchers in the School of Engineering by:
- Exposing undergraduate and Masters-level students to postgraduate research culture with the aim of encouraging progression through to postgraduate research.
- Providing opportunities to present research to an audience of staff and industry professionals, developing important skills for graduate careers.
- Creating networking and feedback opportunities for students at all levels with industry partners and senior researchers.
