Young Naturalist Explorers class!
Join Mead Botanical Garden's Young Naturalist Explorers class, Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 5:30 P.M. to learn all about bats!
Come get batty with us on October 4th at 5:30 pm for an interactive lesson on bats, followed by a twilight hike. In the barn we will have a variety of hands-on activities for participants to learn about bats and how scientists study them. Then at 6:30 an interpretive hike will begin, focusing on Florida bat species, where you can find them, and how to listen for them.
What to bring?
- Red head lamp or Red flashlight
- Close-toed walking shoes/boots
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Water
- Your sense of curiosity
*We recommend ages 5-12, but the family is welcome to tag along! Parents or guardians must remain with their participants for the duration of class.
