This year’s charity beneficiary is animal conservation efforts of the Baltimore Zoo. The event will include hor d’oeuvre stations, an open bar, a live band, and a silent auction.Don’t forget to bring your old cell phones to the Charity Event so that they can be recycled, which helps support the conservation of chimpanzees, okapi, and other central African wildlife. A number of minerals used in cell phones and other electronics are mined in African rainforests. The mining process destroys rainforests that many species rely on. By recycling minerals from old devices, we can help protect these habitats from new mining. If you bring an old cell phone to recycle at the event, you will be entered into a raffle for a cool prize donated by the Maryland Zoo!
