This field trip is for 8-17 year old youth who are interested in learning more about birds. Mead Botanical Gardens is an excellent location in which one can bird many different habitats within a relatively small area. The presence of many neighborhoods in the surrounding areas funnels migrating song birds into the available park habitat. We will methodically walk and bird around the park carefully listening and looking out for various species of birds. We hope to see a wide variety of species, including multiple warblers, raptors and possibly other migratory passerines like flycatchers, tanagers, and orioles
