The Araluen Arts Centre is one of selected few venues to host the tour of the 2024 Archibald Prize and the only venue outside of NSW. In fact, this is the first time in its history the Archibald Prize will travel to the Northern Territory and will be presented in the Araluen Galleries from 25 April to 15 June. Running parallel to the exhibition will is our local version of the Young Archie competition the Young Archie Mparntwe. This competition is open to young people aged 5 to 18 years old across four categories and the entries will be exhibited alongside the Archibald Prize exhibition in the Araluen Galleries.
The competition will be judged by Hetti Perkins, based on merit and originality.
TO ENTER
- Age 5 to 18 years old
- Entries until 5pm Monday 31 March 2025
- Artwork must be two-dimensional and on paper
- Between A4 (210 x 297 mm), and A3 (420 x 297 mm)
- Entries can be delivered or mailed to the Araluen Arts Centre
