About this Event

Stop wondering if you're advocating "the right way" for your child receiving special education services. This interactive workshop helps you discover your advocacy style and use it with confidence when you're working with your child's school.

Take the Parent Advocacy Style assessment online before the workshop to discover which style you use most. Researchers identify four types. Then spend 90 minutes learning the strengths of each style, how the styles show up in school conversations and meetings, and how to create productive conversations.

Expect lots of "Oh, I DO that!" moments as you work through real IEP scenarios with other parents and discover practical strategies for your next school interactions.

You'll leave knowing your advocacy style has real strengths, understanding why you communicate the way you do, and feeling confident that you're already doing better than you think. Includes assessment, workshop materials, and follow-up resources.
