The event kicks off at 5 p.m. with an enriching discussion in the Chazen Auditorium between exhibiting artist, Star Montana and Darcy Padilla, UW-Madison professor, documentary photographer, and photojournalist. This conversation offers insights into the importance of photography within Latinx art, shedding light on the importance of visibility and belonging.
Following the discussion, guests are invited to continue the celebration at a reception in the Chazen’s Lobby and to explore the exhibition. Hosted appetizers will be served, complemented by a cash bar.
