About this Event
Welcome to You Are Here: Poetry in Parks, a special event featuring the U.S. National Poet Laureate, Ada Limón! Join us at the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center for an afternoon of inspiring poetry and discussion about the intersection of art and nature.
This in-person event features Limón's visionary project, “You Are Here,” which includes site-specific poem installations across seven iconic U.S. national parks, including Everglades National Park.
The ceremony will unveil the Everglades picnic table installation with an overlay featuring “Ecology” by June Jordan.
A panel discussion with local representatives from community organization O, Miami and park partner Artists in Residence in Everglades, Inc. will explore how art connects community and parks.
