Alex Traska is half of LOOSE JOINTS with a solo DJ career that has taken him across the UK and Europe. An experienced performer, presenter, and record collector of 25 years. Alex’s collection spans jazz, soul, house, disco, Balearic, yacht rock, and beyond—reflecting a deep and broad musical knowledge shaped by years immersed in the underground music scene.
Alex founded the MHYH Radio network, a globally respected platform that championed eclectic selections for 19 years until its closure in 2024. His passion for film frequently intersects with his love of music, finding expression in online-streamed shows featuring mixed AV performances. These broadcasts combined carefully curated movie soundtracks with accompanying artwork and clips, blending the worlds of cinema and sound.
Whether playing intimate venues or festival stages, Alex’s attention to sound quality and the artistry behind the music remains central to his approach, reflecting a lifelong dedication to the craft.
