Yorktown is going to the dogs – in a good way! Our annual Paws at the River event is one you and your furry sidekick won’t want to miss!This special day is designed to bring awareness to animal rescue organizations and help place adoptable pets in their “furever” homes. We’ll have a pet portrait station, delicious doggy delights, and informational booths. To kick off the Halloween festivities, we’ll also have doggy trick-or-treating that features several Yorktown businesses and rescue organizations.
Riverwalk Landing will be filled with vendors selling seasonal produce; fresh baked goods; meats; fresh-cut flowers; honey; and more! You’re sure to have a doggone good time!
The free, accessible Yorktown Trolley will be in operation beginning at 11 a.m. during this event.
On the Docket:
9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Pet portraits behind the Freight Shed. Your pet's photo will automatically be entered into a photo contest!
10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Phil Poteat will perform acoustical guitar.
1 p.m.
Halloween Pet Costume Parade. The lineup begins at 12:45 p.m. behind the Freight Shed.
