Join us for the first annual York JCC Deadlift Competition and test your strength on Saturday, July 20 at the York JCC!Members $25 • Non-members $35
This is a competition for anyone ages 8+. It will consist of 3 age categories separated into men’s and women’s - junior (under age 15), open (all ages), and masters (age 40+). Winners for each category will be determined by the IPF GL points system, and scores will be age-adjusted (when possible).
Winners of the open category will receive a custom belt with the script of their choice, and trophies will be awarded to the winners of the other categories. Competitors can weigh in the day prior to the meet at the fitness desk or the day of the meet between 9 and 9:30 AM and must provide an opening attempt at this time.
The competition starts at 9:30 AM with the lowest entered opening attempt, and from there, the bar weight only moves up.
Competitors will be announced based on their attempts and are finished when they’ve attempted three lifts. Rules will be sent out the week of the event for all registered competitors.
