💚 We are proud to now be working with York Foodbank to provide a local drop-off point within Copmanthorpe, where people can drop off items in the village within a monthly timeslot which we will then take up to their depot for drop-offs.👉 Who are York Foodbank?
York Foodbank provide nutritionally balanced emergency food to people who are referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network, supported by The Trussell Trust. They rely on donations to help support people in need. In the last financial year, they have provided 8,693 three-day emergency supplies to people in crisis.
👉 How this will work at The Rec - Copmanthorpe ..
1️⃣. The last week of every month will be our monthly drop-off window for people do bring their donations for the Foodbank.
2️⃣. We take all donations up to the depot at the start of the following month.
3️⃣. We will regularly update social media as information comes out from York Foodbank of what food/ supplies they are most in need of.
