Discover the fiery history of the city of York on our Bonfire walk!
About this Event

Remember, remember, the 3rd of November! It's two days before Bonfire Night and the last day of the half-term holidays!

It's also the day to blaze a trail and join the York Bonfire Walk, our fire-powered family stroll through York's explosive history!

There will be volcanoes! Flaming cathedrals! World War Two bombing missions! Roman soldiers in the bath! And some guy from York who decided to blow up parliament with a few of his schoolmates! On this historic tour of the city there are bound to be fireworks (subject to local bylaws and safety regulations)!

The York Bonfire Walk is aimed at children (and adults!) aged 6 and over and lasts around one hour. We meet outside St Michael-le-Belfrey church on High Petergate (https://what3words.com/worked.large.jacket; Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/vJNn4oXEzBX5SQDq9) and finish outside the Roman Bath Museum in St Sampson's Square (https://what3words.com/entire.jungle.plays; Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/UCWKmysosCrnxV3r9).

All children over 6, and all adults, need a ticket. All children must be accompanied by at least one ticket-holding adult. Children aged under 6 are welcome to join too and don't need a ticket, but do need to be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.
