In a scene that many consider to be oversaturated, YOOKiE stands out. Comprised of brothers Anthony and Chris Alfaro, YOOKiE is a young production duo that is currently based out of New York.
Their releases highlight the direction that the electronic music scene is heading, having already been released on Dim Mak, Big Beat, Buygore, with forthcoming releases on Mad Decent, Good Enuff, and Never Say Die Records. Their tracks have been played by a who's who of the other top-tier Producers and DJs in the game.
YOOKiE has solidified their presence within the music scene with their unconventional and highly imaginative originals, remixes and edits, which have landed them major support from artists and fans alike. With much to come, YOOKiE will continue to break through the boundaries of the music industry with their ever-experimental production style of high energy music.
On April 22, 2022, the brothers released their riveting namesake EP, WOOKiE, featuring four brand new tracks, “ENTER THE MACHINE,” “SEESAW,” “KiLLA,” and “iGNiTE,” that serve up minimalistic yet unwavering basslines amongst the trap-inspired atmospheres. The direct and monotone rapping by the brothers adds to the eerie sound design that accompany tracks like “SEESAW” and “KiLLA.” Each component of the EP stands on its own, while featuring the quintessential gritty sound design and wicked energy that captures the essence of YOOKiE.
The art within the artificial: instrumentation computed in utter harmony with the brains of those willing to lend themselves, their ears, and their youth to the ends of ecstasy. Bass presence hums through a melody that leaves a gathering bouncing to its pulse; a perfect synergy of careless consequence and pure energy. It all centers around a single name: "YOOKiE."
