Yoko Pwno create a storm on the dancefloor with their accessible and irreverant take on the music of Scotland. With band members based in Scotland’s capital Edinburgh, and the seaside town of Dunbar, their music is a high-energy fusion of Celtic and electronic styles.
Their USP?
Madcap eclecticism, showstopping vocals, big basslines and solid grooves, all mashed up in a vibrant, high energy live show which takes their tunes far from tartan-shortbread-tin territory. Over the past decade they’ve released 2 full length albums, 3 EPs, a mixtape, several singles, and played venues and festivals all over the UK. Since 2020 their lineup has featured fiddle and showstopping vocals from frontwoman Lissa Robertson, Lewis Williamson on fiddle, flautist Helen Le-Mar, Gary Rafferty on banjo, producers and multi-instrumentalists Dan McGurty and Calum Cummins, and Ali Hutchison on drums.
