Join YogaHike Sonoma for a moderate hike and grounding 90-minute Vinyasa flow yoga class in a pastoral meadow underneath mighty oaks with beautiful views of the lake. Reserve early; class size is limited.
**VINYASA SLOW FLOW YOGA + HIKE | ALL LEVELS **
Surrounded by nature, connect more deeply within yourself through a slow-flowing yoga class guided by an experienced instructor. Enjoy an invigorating hike along a quiet forested trail (Canyon Trail to Spring Creek Trail: moderate incline, some rocky terrain) with a good mix of shade, sun and wildlife along the way. The trail follows a seasonal creek up to the lake which we'll walk around until we reach a secret meadow where we'll practice yoga. Option to jump in the lake for a refreshing swim before we hike back down (same route down as up). Wear your swimsuit!
Duration: Approx 2.5 hours (hiking/swim ~90 mins; yoga ~60 mins)
What to bring: yoga mat and/or beach towel, water, sunscreen, swimsuit. There is a porta potty at the lake.
Parking: Park on the street along Parktrail Drive at/near Comfrey Place, Santa Rosa, CA
Where to meet: On Parktrail Drive at/near Comfrey Place (on the creek side of the street). This trailhead entrance is in a residential neighborhood on the left side of Parktrail Drive at Comfrey Place, near the creek. This entrance lacks official trailhead signage, however, the trail is well traveled and in high use by hikers and cyclists throughout the summer. Rest assured, it's hard to miss. (If you use the AllTrails app, we'll be taking Canyon Trail to Spring Creek Trail up the hill to the lake.) If you're running late or can't find our group, text Carla at (707) 228-0311.
