A unique experience where the timeless wisdom of poetry meets the ancient practice of yoga.
Yoga with the Poets is a transformative series that blends movement, breath, and meditation.
Each 1.5-hour session begins with a gentle, thoughtful yoga flow to connect with your body and mind, followed by breath work to calm your nervous system. The heart of each class lies in mantra meditation, where we'll use powerful phrases and concepts from the weekly reading to inspire and ground us.
Our first series will feature Rainer Maria Rilke's classic, Letters to a Young Poet. We'll use his profound insights to guide our practice, turning his beautiful words into a meditative experience.
Discover a different way to move, breathe, and find stillness. No prior experience with yoga or poetry is necessary. All you need is a willingness to explore.
We will use Letters to a Young Poet: A New Translation and Commentary by Rainer Maria Rilke translated by Anita Barrows and Joanna Macy for readings in class. Students will benefit from having a copy of the book for practice at home, but we will read one letter out loud each class.
