Join me for 'Yoga with Opossums' on Friday, October 11 at 10:30am in downtown Fredericksburg at Possum-bilities, the home of Awesome Possumz. The cost is $20 and includes a Yoga class, a meet and greet with an ambassador opossum, and a door prize raffle ticket. Awesome Possumz will receive 50% of the registration amount to support their opossum rehabilitation and rescue mission.
Did you know the Algonquian word for opossum is apasum, meaning ‘white face dog’ and that they were powerful, positive symbols for the Eastern Woodland tribes who first lived in Virginia. Learn more about the Powhatan tribes and the importance of opossums in this Yoga class.
