About this Event
This Queer Hiking Bristol event will be a guided yoga walk facilitated by Leonie (Yogaloni) and QHB leaders.

What we'll do
For this collaboration, Leonie will be interweaving yoga practices along the walk to support you to feel a sense of grounding, connection and presence with yourself, one another and the natural world around.
The practices at the beginning and along the walk will involve guided meditation, gentle movement and breath work. All of these practices can be done standing, on the ground or even against a tree.
We'll make a stop for a picnic lunch about 12/12:30 - please bring this with you as we may not be near the cafe.
To conclude our walk, we will gather inside Ashton Court Mansion where Leonie will guide you through a practice of yoga nidra or ‘yogic sleep’. This practice invites you into a liminal space between an awakened and sleeping state, a place of regeneration, relaxation and healing. You can practice on the floor or in a chair.
Any questions, please reach out to Leonie: [email protected]

The walk and access info
The walk will be about 3 miles in total, including some steep inclines. It's likley to be muddy and slippy in places. We'll go at a fairly relaxed pace with breaks.
There are some paths but the entire walk is not wheelchair friendly due to the terrain and inclines.
There are disabled toilets, and wheelchair access to the cafe and Arts Mansion for the indoor class element. If you would like to attend this and not the walk as a disabled participant, please contact Hannah to arrange a different ticket type: [email protected].
There is disabled parking at the Mansion Car Park.
