Join me, Sarah, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and Trauma Informed Yoga teacher, on this full day exploration of how to safely connect to your body with ease to heal the hurt and wounds of trauma. This workshop is the product of 11+ years working in trauma recovery as an educator and healer. We'll take the best parts of what I've learnt from sharing over 2000 therapeutic group and individual yoga sessions to dive a little deeper into understanding what happens in the body, brain and self when we expereince trauma; so we can understand why we need to safely inhabit the body to rest and release the hurt and wounds.
Grounded in the principles of Somatic Experiencing and Trauma Sensitive Yoga, the workshop will be both education and practical, as we explore:
- What happens in the traumatised body/self.
- How to rebuild a felt sense of safety in the body/self after trauma.
- Why and how we use yoga to heal and restore.
- Practical and effective strategies for connecting to the body/self and regulation.
