Your hips are at the center of nearly every movement you make, and when they become tight, weak, or restricted, it can affect everything from posture and mobility to lower back comfort and overall quality of movement.
Join Juris Zinbergs for a special Yoga Therapy pop-up focused on releasing hip tension, improving mobility, strengthening the hips, and relieving discomfort through safe, therapeutic movement practices.
In this workshop, students will explore:
• Techniques to release tightness and built-up tension in the hips
• Therapeutic movements to improve mobility and range of motion
• Strengthening practices to better support the hips and surrounding muscles
• Common causes of hip pain and stiffness
• How intentional yoga practices can help prevent imbalance and injury
Rooted in the Viniyoga tradition, this session emphasizes purposeful, adaptable movement designed to meet each student where they are. Whether you experience stiffness from sitting, athletic overuse, limited mobility, or recurring hip discomfort, this workshop offers practical tools to help you move with greater ease and stability.
Juris Zinbergs is a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and E-RYT500 teacher with decades of experience guiding students through individualized therapeutic yoga practices that support healing, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.
All levels welcome.
What to Bring
- a yoga mat (mat rentals available in limited supply for $5)
- a water bottle
(Bolsters, blankets, straps, blocks, and other yoga props are provided)
How to Prepare:
- dress in comfortable clothes you can move, stretch, and sweat in
- we ask that you please refrain from wearing cologne or perfume
- eat light before or wait until after class to ensure you can bend, fold, invert, and twist with ease
- plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to find parking, settle in, and sign our waiver if it is your first time joining us
