About this Event
Our 200-hour teacher training program is perfect for those people who are interested in becoming highly skilled teachers, but also for those who are looking for a deepening of their individual practice. Lead teacher, Lauren McLaren, is joined by other expert instructors to provide a comprehensive and dynamic journey into the heart of yoga.
Over the course of 4 months, you will learn detailed information about postures and alignment as well as the anatomy and physiology of the human body as it relates to yoga asana. Our aim is to provide our students with the skills and knowledge to teach three styles of yoga: basic hatha, gentle and flowing yoga, and we support you throughout the training with mentorship and full access to all of our studio classes.
Our training has at its heart an experiential component that provides our students with training and practice in meditation, mindfulness, breath work (pranayama), and teaching. We supplement this with workshops that explain teaching methodology, sequencing, communication, and even how to get started in the Business of yoga.
In addition, you will learn the fundamentals of yoga philosophy including a study of the Bhagavad Gita, the Yoga Sutras, Samkhya and much more.
