This is a yoga day suitable for everyone, and we hope will be of special benefit to people who, in any capacity, care for others. We will be exploring ways to be present, kind & compassionate in our life when things may not be under our control and may be very challenging emotionally, physically and mentally. We often are so careful to direct the qualities of kindness and compassion outwards towards others; sometimes we need to learn how to gather them up for ourselves. We cannot pour from an empty cup! Today we will show you simple and easy practices to hopefully help you fill you cup up in lots of different ways. We'll try to start our day outside with some standing practices - we'll provide mats for outside if we need them. Then we'll head inside for practices that require a bit more floor time. We will lead you through slow yoga flows to stretch and open ourselves up a little bit.
After a tea break, we'll rug up and walk in nature. We'll practice some easy forest bathing techniques, hopefully enjoying some sunny Spring weather, and work up an appetite for our tasty vegetarian lunch.
Our afternoon will include more practices of compassion, gathering in energy & vitality, peace & calm. We will end our day with a grounding deep relaxation so you feel ready to return home feeling uplifted & enthusiastic yet wonderfully relaxed.
Try to arrive between 9.30 & 9.45 so you have time to set up your little nest with cushions, blankets and your yoga mat. Help yourself to a hot drink & a bit of chat with the other attendees and we will get started at 10am. Lunch will be about 1pm and we will attempt to finish promptly at 3pm.
The day will cost £50 including hot drinks and our trademark flapjacks. All food will be vegetarian and alternative milks will be on offer. Please let us know before the day if you are vegan or have any allergies.
