A Yoga Philosophy WorkshopThe Obstacles To Enlightenment

Yoga is many things, including a path towards finding enlightenment and understanding. Yoga also provides us with the tools we need to cultivate a calm mind so that we can seek that sense of enlightenment. In order to bring our minds into a state of clarity, we need a better understanding of our mind and it's reactions to the world around us.
Yoga teaches us that - with awareness and practice - we can choose to be less reactive and more responsive to the driving forces behind our thoughts so our minds stay calm. These driving forces are considered the obstacles to an undisturbed mind and in Yoga they are called kleshas. Once we identify and begin to understand the kleshas, our thoughts become less distracting and we can abide in our true nature.
All are invited to attend, no experience is necessary. Expect lecture and discussion as well as simple movement and breathing exercises. Workshop is $30 per person. Advance registration is available on our website, but walk-ins are always welcome.
Kat Wheatley, MA, is an Experienced Yoga Teacher and Certified Comprehensive Yoga Therapist. She has over 12 years of teaching experience and in excess of 1000 hours of training. She is a Continuing Education Provider with Yoga Alliance and offers private one-on-one sessions at Key Largo Yoga to help clients use yoga to move, breathe, feel, and be better.
