♡ Day 1: Uncovering the Roots ♡
Get ready to dive into the deepest roots of yoga and its fascinating philosophical depths! Starting by tracing the timeline of yoga—the practice that's been around for over 5,000 years. Back then, yoga was a spiritual quest to connect with the divine and understand oneself better.
As yoga evolved over time, it soaked up influences from various philosophical movements and schools of thought. From the ancient Vedas to the tranquil teachings of Buddhism, yoga became more than just a set of poses—it became a holistic system for living well.
The ancient tradition has close ties with Hindu mythology! From the mighty Brahman, Vishnu and Shiva to the nurturing Devi, the Hindu gods and goddesses played a big role in shaping the practice, symbolising different aspects of the yogic journey.
♡ Day 2: Living the Wisdom ♡
As we dive deeper, we’ll keep these key points in mind: to integrate the ancient philosophy in our modern society and personal lives:
1. Honouring Tradition: Pay homage to the ancient wisdom that makes yoga so special, respecting its rich history and cultural significance.
2. Mind, Body, Spirit Connection: Learn energetic practices coming from ancient Buddhist traditions; to nourish your mind, body, and spirit, leaving you feeling balanced and rejuvenated.
3 Living Ethically: Take the principles of yoga off the mat and into your everyday life. Learn more about all Yamas & Niyamas from Hatha yoga tradition (which are over 20!) and how to integrate and translate them .
Let this training be your guide on a journey of self-discovery and growth. From knowledge to wisdom.
