About this Event
As part of the Wild Connections events for women, organised by Lindsey at Dorset Forest Bathing, and part of the Chalke and Chase Landscape Partnership Scheme, with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we bring you this one off Yoga on the Lawns class with Emma. The session is open to beginners aas well as those who regularly practice Yoga, and will be an inclusive and small class, with the opportunity for a garden walk, and drinks or snacks in the cafe after, or before.
Some words from Emma about herself and the session...
My name is Emma and I am passionate about movement and the natural world. I have been teaching yoga for over 12 years, as well as running Nettle and Rose, a natural wellbeing business selling products made from foraged ingredients and herbs.
As well as yoga, my classes draw on a variety of movement influences such as Pilates, functional and natural movement, somatic movement and biomechanics. My classes provide a nurturing and creative environment in which each student is encouraged to explore the relationship and connection between the mind and the body, and to release the tensions we hold in each, leading to numerous physical and mental benefits, and a greater awareness and respect for the body.
In this movement class we will take inspiration from nature, tuning into the wisdom of the body through yoga asana, breathwork, and restorative yoga poses, designed to promote deep relaxation.
This offered to women and those identifying as women. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one, and dress considering the weather conditions, we will be outdoors and it could be shady in our lawn spot. If the weather forecast looks like it will have to be cancelled, you will be informed by email so please check before travelling, especially if the weather is mixed.
Places are limited, please do reserve a free ticket, but let me know if you are unable to attend on the day as there are likely to be some people on the waiting list.
The session is free but you do need to pay the £4 entry fee to the Larmer Tree Gardens, please do so in the cafe as you arrive. There is plenty of parking, toilets, and a cafe with drinks and sweet treats on offer, but no savory options. You are able to explore the gardens either before or after the class.
