Expand your study of mindfulness through Yoga Nidra, also known as Yogic Sleep. This class will allow you to rest in a supported passive yoga pose while listening through a guided meditation. The goal is to practice transitioning into a deep state of conscious relaxation by moving your awareness from your external world into your internal world. Thus, helping bring you into a state of deep sleep where your senses, intellect, and mind can rejuvenate. The successful practice of Yoga Nidra is proven to be restorative to the body. Approximately 45 min of yoga Nidra equates to several hours of REM sleep. Research proves the practice of Yoga Nidra to reduce stress, anxiety, and insomnia.*Participants are encouraged to bring a blanket and pillow to be comfortable, supported and warm during practice.
