Yoga Nidra, or NSDR, non-sleep deep rest, is a meditative, sleep-based relaxation technique. Your guide, Jenna, will bring you to a place between waking and sleeping where you naturally disengage from stress-producing thoughts and the body restores itself. Yoga Nidra slows down the brain waves, bringing the recipient into a deeply relaxed state. Energy typically put into modulation of the mind is redirected by the body towards restoration and healing. While in this state of relaxation, the body releases feel-good hormones like serotonin, melatonin, dopamine, and endorphins, simultaneously decreasing cortisol levels. Benefits include reducing stress-related symptoms like chronic pain, fatigue, and trouble sleeping, restoring and healing the body, and mental clarity, focus, and calm.
