About this Event
This class is offered on the 4th Tuesday of the month and designed for clients that are receiving therapy from a mental health practitioner. It's not required to be receiving therapy at Expanding Horizons Counseling. The Client classes are open to the community. ***Attendees must be at least 13 years old. Minors 13-17 years old must be accompanied by a parent for the entire class.***
Attendees will be laying down. All props provided. The session will begin with yoga nidra, a guided sleep-based meditation that includes a blend of breathwork, guided imagery and physical relaxation techniques that require very little movement. Then, attendees become immersed through a variety of deeply relaxing vibrational sounds. Your brain waves will slow down from beta, alpha and theta which will allow you to fall into a deep state of relaxation but without falling asleep. At the very least, yoga nidra and sound healing will offer you profound relaxation. At best, you will have the opportunity to release chronic stress, balance your autonomic nervous system by soothing your nerves, and release suppressed or repressed emotions. Ultimately, you will be guided back to your true nature. A place where you experience unconditional love, peace and lasting happiness. All that is required is for each person to listen and surrender.
Space limited to 8. Please arrive 10-15 min to sign in. Sarah will greet you in the lobby where you will sign a photo consent and liability waiver form. There is a bathroom on site. Please bring your own water.
