🌙✨ Yoga Nidra for Reiki Practitioners or Anyone Who Struggles with Meditation ✨🌙
Not everyone finds it easy to sit still with their eyes closed and “detach from the constant cycle of thinking.” In fact, for many people, traditional meditation feels frustrating or even impossible.
That’s where Yoga Nidra – often called yogic sleep – can be such a gift. 💜
🌀 For Reiki practitioners:
Yoga Nidra helps you rest deeply while staying gently aware, creating the perfect state for energy to flow. It can deepen your sensitivity to subtle sensations, making it easier to notice shifts in your own energy and in the energy you share with others.
🌊 For anyone who finds meditation hard:
Instead of effort to “focus,” you’re guided step by step through body awareness, breath, and gentle imagery. The mind doesn’t need to “try” as it can simply follow along and rest.

What you will need to bring with you...
- yoga mat or something to lie on for comfort
- 2 x bed pillows or cushions (for your head and beneath your knees so that your lower back can really relax)
- 1 x eye pillow or light scarf to cover your eyes
- 1 or 2 blankets - or something to cover yourself as your body temperature will drop as you relax
People coming along to these sessions often comment on feeling like they're coming for a sleepover with everything they bring but everyone is the same so don't worry. What's most important for these sessions is that you're comfortable when you lay down for an hour. Just wear what you are most comfortable in, some people come along in leggings and others in jeans.
Also there are no shoes in the studio so you may want to bring some socks!
How do I get to the Old School Yoga Studio from Stratford Upon Avon?
The postcode for the yoga studio is CV37 8NG.
If you know the shop and cafe in Preston on Stour then the studio is next door to that ...heading out of Stratford on the Shipston Road it is the turning on the right about halfway between Stratford and Alderminster by the Alscot Estate. You should see the long brick wall of the Alscot Estate and the turning to Preston is at the end of the brick wall. When you turn into Preston Lane, follow the road for a short way and then over the little bridge and round the bend towards the right. The first thing you will see on the right is the village hall. There is a cut out for village hall parking there and the driveway to the studio is next to the cut out (there is a small wooden sign at the entrance to the driveway)...it is quite a narrow drive but there is parking at the rear and the entrance to the yoga studio where we will be is at the rear. Some people also park on the road as it is not a main road that is a cut through to anywhere so this is fine.
**Important : Please do not use the Village Hall car parking area as this is strictly for village hall events and you are likely to get blocked in**

Is there parking at the studio?
There is a free car park at the rear of the studio and the entrance to the yoga studio where we will be is also at the rear. It is quite a narrow driveway leading to the carpark so pull out wide before turning in! Some people also park on the road as it is not a main road that is a cut through to anywhere so this is fine.

W hat time does it start?
It starts at 6.30pm but I am always there early so do come along earlier to give yourself time to settle in. Most people arrive 10mins before the start.
