Please join Shanna Behrje in the historic barn for this monthly community offering. Yoga Nidra, often referred to as "yogic sleep," is a deeply restorative practice that promotes profound relaxation and healing by guiding participants into a state of conscious relaxation between wakefulness and sleep.

During a Yoga Nidra session, you will be guided through a series of body scans, breath awareness exercises, and visualizations. These techniques help the nervous system relax, releasing deep-seated tension and stress. This meditative state can reduce anxiety, improve emotional well-being, and enhance mental clarity. It also supports physical healing by promoting better circulation and easing muscle tension.

By encouraging deep rest, Yoga Nidra restores balance to the body and mind, fostering a sense of inner peace and relaxation. Regular practice can improve sleep quality, reduce symptoms of insomnia, and build resilience to life's stresses. As a gentle yet powerful technique, Yoga Nidra is an accessible tool for nurturing both physical and emotional healing.

Yoga Nidra, or "yogic sleep," can be practiced at any time of day and by anyone. This guided meditation is done in a resting position, and it is said that one session of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to three hours of sleep! During each session, the goal is to elicit a relaxation response in the body.
