In this workshop you will:
• Take your understanding of asana from memorized to meaningful with a specific focus on the hips, knees and feet
• Deepen your understanding of the form and function of lower extremities
• Dip your toes into subtle levels of energetic perception
Yoga works to cultivate being in the present moment. This workshop is crafted with the intention of increasing your ability to truly be in the moment during your own practice or when assisting others.
This workshop will be of use in fine-tuning postures and will hold a special focus on the hips, knees and feet.
We will also work with rebalancing subtle energies in practical ways for individuals as well as in a group yoga setting.
Participants may be yoga instructors, hold an interest in teaching yoga, or simply have an interest in deepening their own understanding.
Duration: 16 hours
Can be taken as a stand-alone course or as part of the 500 hour YTT program
Dates:
Nov 30th 9AM-6:00PM (8 hours plus a 1 hour lunch break)
December 1st 9:00AM-6:00PM (8 hours plus a 1 hour lunch break)
Bring your yoga mat and layers of clothing so that you are comfortable practicing or when less active.
Instructor: Tracy Estey-Willick:
Tracy has been a yoga instructor for over 20 years. She is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, and holds a Bachelor of Physical Education. She was an instructor with the Canadian College of Osteopathy for over a decade. She has presented at local, provincial, and national level conferences.
