Mary Liwanag will be teaching Vinyasa 101, which is a sixty-minute, all-levels yoga class. The purpose of this class is to increase student strength, flexibility and confidence. Each class includes a warm up, flow, balance work, relaxation and breathwork. Pose variations are encouraged. Students learn to listen to their bodies and choose the options that bring them steadiness and ease.Mary Liwanag is a Yoga Alliance 500-hour instructor. She has been a yogi for 23 years. Though she
enjoyed working as both an editor and a registered nurse, yoga is her home. At 58, she wondered what
it would be like to do a job that she really loved. In 2019, she took the leap and began 200-hour yoga
teacher training with Genesis Yoga in Brenham, Texas. She completed her 300-hour teacher training
with teacher Jason Crandell. Mary’s classes focus on anatomy and functional movement. She teaches
Vinyasa, Chair, Hatha, Strong Bones, Yoga with Weights and Restorative classes.
