Yoga för Stela Män (Yoga for Stiff men)Not flexible enough to do yoga? There’s no such thing!
I firmly believe that yoga is for everybody, even if every body is different. This course is designed for men who have been interested in yoga but worry their lack of flexibility will get in the way, or for those who already have a yoga practice but have found hatha or vinyasa classes to be challenging due to issues with flexibility or mobility.
Each session will start with a short discussion of a target area or pose, including tips to increase mobility and adapt your practice to suit your body. We will then put the tips into practice in a sequence specially designed for the target area(s).
Target areas and poses will include:
Hamstrings and calves
Poses: downward facing dog, seated folds, standing folds, low lunges
Hips and glutes
Poses: seated hip stretches, half pigeon, warrior 2, low squat
Chest and shoulders
Poses: eagle pose, cow-face pose, binds
Dates: Mondays, from 13/01-17/02, Between 20:00-21:00
