Weekly Wednesday evening yoga classes in St Philips Hall, Temple Road, Dublin 6
About this Event

Weekly yoga classes in St Philip's Hall, Temple Road, Dublin 6.

In Yoga Foundations we address the form, fit and function of the yoga practice.

In these classes we may spend some time focusing on either a particular shape, function or movement in a semi workshop manner within the container of the regular weekly class.

This allows students to break a shape or a movement down, come at it from different angles, and to deepen their understanding through both discussing the focus or function and their embodied experience of the pose.

Classes feature:

  • friendly environment in a community setting
  • grounding
  • breath awareness
  • warm up movements
  • slower paced flow/sequence allowing time to embody each asana
  • workshop style exploration
  • guided relaxation.Regular attendees notice that this style of class enables them to build their practice and experience week by week.

Yoga Foundations is suitable for beginners without being specifically for beginners. These classes are to lay, or layer up, the foundations of your practice.

You will need: yoga mat, comfortable clothing that allows you freedom of movement, a water bottle is always good to have on hand and we recommend some cosy layers for savasana!
