Modern life is busy and there are so many things that distract us from finding peace and a clear path forward. Whether juggling conflicting priorities, overwhelmed with family care, or weighed down by the state of the world, we all need tools to manage daily stress and strain.This workshop is an experiential exploration of mindfulness practices to manage and reduce stress and build resilience. We will cover the effects of stress and explore techniques to remain present and bring the nervous system into balance. Techniques will include breathing, visualization, and gentle movement. Participants will be encouraged to choose one technique to put into practice in the weeks after the session. Handouts and a journal are included.
