Yoga offers a gentle yet powerful approach to addressing stress, anxiety, and other challenges that can impact our mental health. Why Yoga for Mental Health?
1. Stress Relief: Through mindful breathing and physical postures, yoga helps calm the nervous system, engages the Vagus nerve, and reduces the effects of stress.
2. Emotional Balance: Yoga promotes self-awareness and emotional resilience, aiding in the management of anxiety and depression.
3. Trauma Recovery: Specific practices can help release stored tension and support healing from past trauma.
4. Mindfulness: Regular practice encourages a present-moment focus, fostering a greater sense of peace and clarity.
Whether you're new to yoga or have an established practice, this session is tailored to be inclusive and supportive for all bodies, regardless of experience or fitness level. Participants learn to establish safety and stability in the body, build skills and strategies for managing painful experiences, and regain power and control through mindful movement that includes choices to move their bodies in ways that feel comfortable.
This will be indoors.
