Grief is the pain felt after a significant loss. While the grieving process is a part of healing, the pain of loss can feel overwhelming. There are many healthy ways to cope with your grief and learn to heal.Yoga for grief can help you deal with the physical and emotional effects of loss. This type of yoga is less about flexibility or balance, but more so about awareness and connection. Lauren will create a safe space to provide you an outlet to release grief, initiate healing, and connect you with others dealing with similar feelings and situations. She will lead you in breathwork, gentle restorative poses, guided meditation, and more to help support your grief journey. As a certified Death Doula, licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer, and having experienced her own personal losses, Lauren is well-acquainted with grief and it’s various effects on the mind, body, and spirit.
This practice is open to all levels, including those who have never practiced yoga before. Wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable. Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the event start time to get checked in and settled.
