Yoga for Beginners WorkshopDid you resolve to try yoga this year? Now is the perfect time! This workshop will cover everything you need to know to join any beginner friendly class!
In this workshop you will learn the foundational poses of yoga. We will focus on proper alignment, modifications and prop usage. This class covers the physical practice of yoga (asana) and some breathwork (pranayama).
A few of the key poses we will cover are:
- Tadasana - Mountain Pose
- Vrksasana - Tree Pose
- Virabhadrasana I - Warrior I
- Parsvottanasana - Pyramid Pose - Standard and revolved
- Virabhadrasana II - Warrior II
- Trikonasana - Triangle Pose
- Utthita Parsvakonasana - Extended Side Angle
- Adho Mukha Svanasana - Downward Facing Dog
- Chaturanga - four limbed staff pose
And many many more
We will build up to a full slow flow yoga class that will incorporate all of the poses you have learned throughout the workshop! When you leave, you will be ready to take on any beginner friendly yoga class and grow your practice as time goes by.
A video of the practice will be available for you to watch for a year following this workshop. If you want to review or just want a simple at home practice you will have one waiting for you!

What to bring:
- Yoga Mat
- Dress in clothing that makes it easy to move your entire body
- Yoga socks are a great idea but not required
- Bottle of water or cup with a lid (there is a place to refill water as well)
- An open mind and excitement to learn!
