This 4-week Beginner Yoga Series teaches the fundamentals of yoga in a safe, strength based and nurturing environment. It will be taught in a sequential manner in order to build understanding of the poses, mindfulness of movement, strength building and flexibility of the mind and body. Upon completion of the series, the student will: - Have a foundational knowledge of yoga and be able to practice safety.
- Develop body awareness and learn basic postures found in most yoga classes with focus on healthy alignment.
- Learn modification to poses to allow the pose to work for own body without injury.
- Understand the importance of breath and learn to coordinate breath and movement. -Become curious and confident in safely exploring own limits.
- Increase the possibilities of deeper relaxation, peacefulness and joyfulness.
Class meets Tuesdays for four consecutive weeks from 6-7:30pm. Dates are September 23rd through October 14th, 2025
Class is held at the Soulful Shala, a free standing, home based yoga located at 5261 S. Alden Ave. Inverness, FL
Investment for the whole series is $80. Please pre-register to reserve your spot!
Series is taught by Lace Blue-McLean, E-CYT200 with over 20 years of teaching with an emphasis of using yoga as a therapeutic practice.
