In the spirit of Karma yoga, that aims to perform service for the benefit of others, proceeds from this Yin yoga class will be donated to support the work of Hedgehog Rescue Blackpool - a registered charity.Hedgehog Rescue Blackpool take in and care for injured and lost hedgehogs, nursing them back to health and eventually releasing them back into their natural habitat.
One Christmas, our family found a tiny baby hedgehog on our doorstep that was shaking and wobbling and, quite obviously, in trouble. We took the baby hedgehog to Hedgehog Rescue Blackpool who seasonally named her ‘Snowflake.’
Snowflake had eaten something poisonous and was in a bad way, but the dedicated team at Hedgehog Rescue Blackpool saved her life and I sincerely hope that Snowflake went on to lead a happy life back in the wild.
So, if you’ve been feeling a bit prickly lately, join us for this charity fundraiser Yin Yoga class.
Yin yoga can make you feel better by reducing stress and anxiety, improving emotional wellbeing, enhancing flexibility, and releasing physical tension.
The practice of Yin yoga promotes a deeper connection to the body and mind, fosters inner stillness, and can help alleviate feelings of trauma and sadness, just as Hedgehog Rescue Blackpool does the same for hedgehogs.
Hedgehog Rescue Blackpool is run and operated by its founder, Jean, alongside her amazing team of volunteers.

All classes are for beginners and take place at Crescent Yoga Studio at St Anne’s Tennis Club FY8 2QH. The yoga studio is fully equipped so you don’t need to bring anything with you, unless you prefer to use your own mat and blanket etc.
Classes are £8 on Thursday evenings 7:15-8:15pm and £10 on Saturday mornings 9:30-11:00am or sometimes 10:00-11:30am.
