The theme for this class is a gentle full body stretch to gradually reintroduce movement to our bodies for those of us who may not have exercised for a while or exercised less frequently than we might have liked to.
We will explore a carefully designed mixture of Yin yoga poses which are all carried out either lying down on your front or back or in a seated position, keeping the movements and positions accessible to all and targeted to beginners.
This will be a first step in increasing your flexibility and range of motion by stretching and lengthening your connective tissues.
This class will also improve your joint health by nourishing and hydrating your joints, reducing stiffness and promoting overall mobility.
This series of movements will also help to improve your circulation, nourishing your tissues and organs.
The slow and passive nature of this class will also provide you with a sense of deep relaxation and a release of tension in both the physical and mental realms.
All classes are for beginners and take place at Crescent Yoga Studio at St Anne’s Tennis Club FY8 2QH. The yoga studio is fully equipped so you don’t need to bring anything with you, unless you prefer to use your own mat and blanket etc.
-Tuesday 90-minute classes 7:00-8:30pm cost £10
-Thursday 60-minute classes 7:15-8:15pm cost £8
-Special Event Saturday classes 10:00-11:30am or 10:00-12:00noon cost £25
