As part of our series of events for Mental Health Awareness Week, we are offering a FREE yoga session!
When you do yoga, your brain cells develop new connections, and changes occur in brain structure as well as function, resulting in improved cognitive skills such as learning and memory. Yoga strengthens parts of the brain that play a key role in memory, attention, awareness, thought, and language.
Our host Carly Tong will take you through a yin-yang session.
The first portion is a 30-minute yang yoga class that is an energizing practise to rinse out the body, mind and soul. It helps to stretch out tired and tight muscles from sitting at your desk. This session is inclusive of organic essential oils such as lemongrass and lemon.
The second portion of the class is a 30-minute yin yoga class that is a slow-paced practice with breath work targeting the corrective tissues of the body to leave you feeling relaxed. It is perfect for re-grouping for the busy day ahead. This session includes jasmine and lavender essential oils.
