This will be our second week focusing on side bends, looking at more detail of standing side bends. Side bends in yoga can help prepare the body for deep breathing by opening up the rib cage and expanding the chest. This deeper breathing can begin to improve circulation and reduce stress. Side bends are an excellent exercise to build strength particularly in the core muscles helping to stabilise the hips which is key in balancing, increasing mobility, and working to improve flexibility. All classes are £6 for CSC members or £9 for non-members (membership of CSC is just £10 and is open to everyone). Pay on the day by card/contactless/cash/bank transfer.
A regular yoga practice works to improve your well-being both physically and emotionally. It will improve your posture, flexibility and balance. Practicing yoga also helps to reduce stress and fatigue, promoting better sleep and overall health. All levels are welcome with accommodations for injuries available. Suitable for all ages from 14+ (under 16 to be accompanied by an adult). Mats provided.
