This workshop will combine gentle yoga, acupressure, myofascial release techniques and yoga nidra to balance our bodies for the Late Summer season.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we have reached the element of Earth, the time of Late Summer. After the expansion of mid Summer, this 'fifth season' coincides with the harvest - a time for celebration, nourishment of the body and mind, and preparation for the transition to fall ahead. In this workshop, we will explore the principles of Chinese Medicine and Five Element Theory. We will learn how acupressure works, how to hold acupoints, and how Chinese Medicine relates to yoga. We will open our bodies with a mindful yoga practice, balance the energy pathways of late summer with acupressure points and myofascial release techniques, and end with a long guided relaxation to integrate the effects of your practice.
Prepare to unwind, have some aha's, and feel empowered to support yourself in this abundant season of the harvest!
