Yoga and Working with Chronic Pain

If you have suffered from chronic back pain, or other kinds of long-term or persistent pain, this workshop offers insight into working with pain and how to apply yoga practice in a way that honors your edge, soothes the nervous system, and creates space for tension release.

This workshop will start with lecture and finish with an hour-long gentle practice & relaxation.

Nancy is an E-RYT500 as well as Certified Yoga Therapist as recognized by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT). Nancy holds a Therapeutic Yoga for Seniors certificate from Duke Integrative Medicine, a Mindful Yoga for Chronic Pain certificate from OHSU, and has served as assistant faculty for Kripalu’s yoga teacher training program. In addition to working with cancer patients weekly through St. Joseph Health, Nancy has taught at chronic pain clinics with Santa Rosa Community Health as well as Functional Restoration Programs in Sonoma County over the last 10 years.
