Our biggest Trappist Festival ever. We are very dedicated to the great beers of the European Monasteries as you well know and this mini Festival is the crowning achievement of our hard work hunting down these masterful beers. The sad irony of this program is; we've lost another Trappist Brewery this year because of attrition of Monks of all things. the Abbaye Maria Toevlucht in Zundert Netherlands has stopped production of their Zundert Trappist beers and that leaves us with just a handful of Trappist monasteries producing beer. We've actually added two Trappist breweries to our portfolio this year; the Abbaye de Koningshoeven in Koningshoeven, Netherlands and their powerful La Trappe beers and a new addition to the Trappist stable; the Sainte-Marie Abbey du Monts-des-Cats in Godewaersvelde, France. The irony is, with the losses of three Trappist Monasteries over the last three years, we will have our biggest lineup ever! We stocked up on the Trappist beers we lost (Achel, Zundert and Tre Fontane), so this will be the last year we will have those. But where else in the world can you do a flight of Trappist beers from all the great Trappist Breweries in one setting? This is one not to miss.
