YMA has a strong history of educating Arlington citizens on issues and policies that advance the interests of our community. A core belief of YMA is that our local government should remain proudly non-partisan. As we anticipate the upcoming May 2026 elections, we are unfortunately expecting heightened partisan campaigning across the School Board, City Council, and Mayoral races.YMA is now organized as a 501(c)4, meaning that we hold a non-profit status which allows for engagement in organized political lobbying and campaigning. Our intent is to act as a lighthouse
in Arlington by educating the community on important topics that are not distilled through a partisan lens. A key action will be to send mailers to households in advocacy for the candidates
and positions that best align Arlington for a successful future. Fundraising for this effort will be critical, and we are excited to present our strategy on how YMA can have maximum impact on
the upcoming election.
