York Land Trust members are invited to join us and York Parks and Recreation for a guided paddle and hike on the York River! We will be paddling from Scotland Bridge upriver through the salt marsh to the Landing Trail of Smelt Brook Preserve, where we will get out and stretch our legs on a brief hike. We will then get back in our boats and return to Scotland Bridge. We expect to be on the water for 2-3 hours in total. While the hike is short and mostly flat, this trip will require some physical dexterity to get in and out of kayaks as well as climb up a small bank. There are not restrooms at this location. Parking is limited at Scotland Bridge, so please consider carpooling. Prior kayak experience is recommended. You are welcome to use your own kayak. This program is free and open to YLT members. Please register here: https://www.yorklandtrust.org/event/ylt-members-special-program-guided-paddle-and-hike-on-the-york-river-september/
