About this Event

YLJC Chanukah Lighting at Clifford's Tower

Members and friends from York's Interfaith and Civic communities are invited to join the York Liberal Jewish Community for festive Chanukah Lighting at the historic Clifford's Tower. We are grateful to English Heritage for helping us to facilitate this so meaningful event.

Together we will celebrate the sixth night of Chanukah, remember the atrocities that once took place at this very spot, and shine the Chanukah lights on the darkness around us, as together we pray for a better world.

Please note: it will be cold as there is no roof nor heating, and steps to climb to enter, but we promise the welcome will be very warm. Please dress for comfort and wrap up! We will ensure that we are finished by 7.30pm latest.
